This privacy policy describes how Invite Guest Technology AS collects and uses personal information. We take your privacy seriously and aim to be transparent about how we handle your personal data. Our goal is to make it even clearer for you what personal data we process about you, why we do it, where the data comes from, who is involved in processing your data, why we are allowed to process your data in this way, and what rights you have.

The Data Protection Officer at Invite Guest Technology AS is responsible for keeping the privacy policy up to date. Invite Guest Technology AS, through its managing director, is the data controller for the company’s processing of personal information. Delegations of daily responsibilities are specified under each individual point. Such delegations only pertain to tasks and not to responsibilities. This declaration contains information you are entitled to when information is collected from our website (Personal Data Act § 19) and general information about how we process personal data (Personal Data Act § 18, 1st paragraph).

Processing of Personal Data on www.visitinvite.com

The web editor is responsible for the daily processing of personal data on our website www.visitinvite.com unless otherwise specified. It is voluntary for those who visit the website to provide personal information, and it is only done in connection with services such as receiving newsletters and contact forms. The legal basis for processing is the consent of the individual, unless otherwise specified. Media usage is handled by Invite Guest Technology AS’s data processor, our total provider for the development, operation, and maintenance of the website. Information collected in connection with the operation of the website is stored on our servers operated by the provider. Only Invite Guest Technology AS and data processors (with subcontractors) have access to the information collected. A separate data processing agreement between Invite Guest Technology AS and the provider, Mediebruket, regulates what information they have access to and how it should be processed.

What data is collected?

  1. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer when you download a webpage. Storage of information and processing of this information is not allowed unless the user has been informed and has given their consent to the processing. The user should be informed of and approve which information is processed, the purpose of the processing, and who processes the information, in accordance with the Electronic Communications Act § 2-7b. We use the Google Analytics analysis tool on our websites, which places 3 cookies on your machine. These are gtag.js, analytics.js, and ga.js.   2. Facebook Conversation Tracking Pixel
    A Facebook Pixel anonymously tracks who has visited the website and which pages they have visited. This tracking is used to provide relevant marketing in Facebook channels. The cookie lasts for 180 days, and no personally identifiable information is collected or tracked. Users can control the ads displayed on Facebook by adjusting their personal settings on Facebook.   3. Search
    Invite Guest Technology AS stores information about which keywords users use in the search fields on the website. The purpose of the storage is to improve our information offering. Usage patterns for searches are stored in a separate database and are only stored in aggregated form. Only the search term is stored, and it cannot be linked to other information about users, such as IP addresses.
  4. Newsletters and contact forms. On the website, you can choose to subscribe to our newsletter. To send you the newsletter, we require at least your name and an email address. The information is stored in a separate database, not shared with others, and is deleted when you unsubscribe. On the contact form and book-demo form, you can choose to provide additional information beyond your name and contact information. This is only used in connection with our contact with you and is stored directly in our CRM system to provide you with the best possible follow-up.

What are the data used for?

The collected information will not be used for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes specified below, unless you have consented to it.

  1. Fulfilling the Agreement
    Your personal information is processed in order to provide the requested service (e.g., sending newsletters and offering customized deals), to improve and develop related services, including adapting the services to users’ presumed preferences, and to inform you about new usage possibilities.
  2. Enhancing User Experience
    The collected information is used to monitor whether users with a specific browser/device have trouble loading the website, specific pages, specific services, and to adapt the format to the browser/device used, so we can improve our services. The information processed for this purpose is used in an aggregated and anonymized form.
  3. Marketing and Recommendations
    We also process personal information for purposes such as offering you the opportunity to receive notifications about products and services, including sending newsletters and invitations to participate in surveys or events if you have chosen to receive such information in advance. We may also use your personal information for other business-related purposes.
  4. Understanding Market Trends
    The collected personal information is analyzed to understand market trends and to attempt to predict future behavior. The purpose of this is, among other things, to compile statistics that we use to improve and develop our websites and enhance our services. Such analyses can be carried out by Invite Guest Technology AS itself or by extracting information that another company analyzes. If personal information is disclosed to other companies for such analytical purposes, this will be regulated by separate data processing agreements with requirements for confidentiality and that the information is not used for other purposes and is deleted after use, etc.
  5. Preventing Misuse of the Service
    We use information related to users’ activities and technical data to prevent various forms of misuse of the service. Misuse includes, among other things, fraud attempts, spam, attempts to log in to other user accounts, harassment, and other actions prohibited by Norwegian law.

Measures to Secure Your Personal Information

  1. Is it voluntary to provide personal information?
    It is always voluntary for those who visit the website to provide personal information. You can limit the amount and type of personal information we collect about you at any time by not entering it into forms or data fields on our website. Please note that this may result in some of our online services not functioning optimally or affecting your user experience.   2. Who has access to my personal information?
    Those who may have access to your personal information are a limited number of Invite Guest Technology AS employees and third parties that Invite Guest Technology AS has commissioned to perform services (such as our suppliers).

    Information about you and your use of the service may be disclosed to other companies, including our partners, for the implementation of agreed-upon projects, events, and other affiliated companies for the same purposes for which they were collected. Your rights

  1. Right to access
    Anyone who requests it has the right to receive basic information about the processing of personal information in a business under the Personal Data Act § 18, 1st paragraph. Invite Guest Technology AS has provided this information in this privacy policy and will refer to it in any inquiries. Those registered in Invite Guest Technology AS’s data systems have the right to access their own information.
  2. Request for correction or deletion of inaccurate or incomplete information
    Under the Personal Data Act § 27, the data subject has the right to request that inaccurate, incomplete, or information that Invite Guest Technology AS is not authorized to process be corrected, deleted, or supplemented. Requests from the data subject shall be answered free of charge and no later than within 30 days.
  3. Deletion of personal information
    Personal information will not be stored for longer than necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing unless required by law to retain the information. You can request that we delete information associated with you as a user at any time, unless the information is necessary to provide a service you still want to access (e.g., a newsletter subscription), or it is required by law to retain the information. You can also withdraw your consent to the processing of personal information at any time.
