Kongsgata was originally planned as a shopping street with Kongeparken as its closest neighbour. Now, the entrepreneurs have turned it into an accommodation option for the over 250,000 annual visitors to Kongeparken, as well as tourists who come to experience the spectacular nature in the area.
“We also see that the business and tourism are growing here in Ålgård, and are therefore happy to offer visitors an accommodation option year-round,” says Ådne.
Self-service guests and automation
Kongsgata Apartments uses Invite’s solution for both automatic access and temperature control on floor heating and panel heaters. Ådne and the other entrepreneurs had a vision of creating a future-oriented accommodation concept where guests arrive at a clean apartment, with a made-up bed, and otherwise take care of themselves.
“We wanted a smart home that we could control ‘from the outside.’ We have no reception, so it’s very convenient, for example, to be able to help guests unlock the door via the mobile phone if there is a need for it. In that regard, we were recommended Invite.”
