Yttervik
In the heart of Helgeland we find Yttervik. An idyllic campsite by the Ranfjord with 26 cabins and 16 campsites. Rune Devig Andreassen is the CEO of Northern Hospitality Group (NHG) which, among other, is responsible for operations at Yttervik.

Reduced risk and staff cost
NHG took over operations at Yttervik in May 2021 and while the previous owners lived at the campsite and could handle keys themselves, Rune needed a system that arranged this without having a person permanently resident at the campsite in case guests arrived. It was equally important to ensure a good guest experience, it had to be simple and preferably make guests independent of opening hours.
We looked at several different solutions, but the one that stood out and which also had a close collaboration with VisBook was Invite. We received good feedback from existing customers, and so it ended up being an easy choice for us.
With Invite, we have achieved what we wanted – to be open all year round without increasing staff. This way, we are less vulnerable than if we were dependant on on site personnel, and of course we have a completely different staff cost than we would have if we were staffed 24/7. It is important to point out that we do have staff during the high season.

We look ahead and keep on developing. Valrygg Studio has designed mini houses that will be built along the fjord, these will be completed by the summer of 2023. At the same time, we will continue to develop Yttervik as a destination and we have many exciting plans. In the long term, we want to become the most attractive place for smaller courses and gatherings in Helgeland, and not least the most attractive accommodation. High ambitions perhaps, but that’s important Rune concludes.
