The request
A self-service option for guests with access codes and remote management of locks
Bjorli Fjellstuer by Classic Norway was looking for self-service solutions for guests in connection with the reopening of an apartment hotel set to open in November 2022. The hotel consists of 9 apartments with associated storage doors, as well as common doors. It was important that the solution had the necessary integrations with the booking system in place so that guests could receive and open the doors using PIN codes. Remote management was also essential as the hotel is located at Bjorli but was to be administered from Molde.
Why chose Invite
After extensive evaluation of various solutions, the choice fell on software from Invite Guest Technology AS. By connecting Invite with the booking system Visbook, and digital locks mounted on the doors, a unique ecosystem is created that automates guest access. Administration is simplified, guests become self-sufficient and the need for a staffed reception to gain access to rental units is reduced.
Låssenteret AS as a partner
The lock system itself was installed by Låssenteret Molde. The smart home company Intin pre-programmed the access system and components, and Låssenteret ensured efficient, high-quality installation. Invite assisted with project management to ensure that the client’s delivery was completed in accordance with the desired solution. After installation and connection by Låssenteret, Invite handled the onboarding of Bjorli Fjellstuer. The onboarding consisted of access to the Invite Control Centre, a management tool with configuration options, as well as thorough guidance on how to best make use of the automation in the digital solution. This also meant that the day-to-day operations could be centrally managed from Molde, while security and control were maintained for Bjorli Fjellstuer, located three hours away.
